We had Internet!!
So we were able to skype my parents , whom informed/confirmed for us the race salt flats were near us! … And very close!, we were in west Wendover, so that’s where we headed first.

Timed perfectly again, only one other car, that left not long after arriving!

We could only describe it as the chapel St Leonard’s to Skegness, (Vegas) lol.
It was worth seeing still, cleaner and probably more spectacular at night with the lights on, we managed to park in…circus circus! For free as we just planned to have a wonder then get going…
We did stop and get a Starbucks though.
The Monte Carlo doesn’t look as fancy as the one in Vegas…
We then headed on to Carson, we decide to just drive through as we wanted to make it to Lake Tahoe.
Lake Tahoe is like a mirage, it was beautiful! And unbelievable!
The drive yet again was great and the lake was so clear and still, it had a golden glow underneath.

It was then on our way back to California!!
