Woken up because it dropped so cold! So we got moving and headed off to the canyon.
Where we stopped! Funny little place, but perfect.
It cost $25 just to enter. The idea was to stop there over night, but you then had to pay for what seemed every little detail they could. Plus we couldn’t risk a colder night than before.
The viewing points were spectacular , Kieran got talking to the bus driver who told us to go to Hopi point which was the best…. It was.
We even walked along part of the path that gets you to the river, but they advise you not to attempt there and back in one day.p, to Kieran’s relief.
We then decided we may as well get driving for the very long route to salt lake! We programmed it in the sat nav and it couldn’t of picked a better route! We drove round the canyon for miles. Which the views even topped Hopi .
Along the way we reached 7000 feet… We didn’t realise till we saw the sign.. Kind of explained why our ears were popping and hurting.
So many wonderful views along the way the clouds looked like they had been painted!
When we got to those sort of heights you see snow!…
We drove till 9 then pulled over in a rest stop. Utah has probably the best amount of rest zones and they are decent too.
Left over spag tonight, but beefed up with bacon! Yum!
