Walking through San Fran!

So to keep costs down we decided to walk pretty much every where, and to start we went for Fishermans wharf and pier 39.
Whilst we were having breakfast we saw on the news that there was a convention called “walker stalkers” which was pretty much dedicated to the hit to show walking dead, it was a bit further along from fishermans wharf but after walking a few hours up and down hills an hour more wouldn’t hurt.

The smell, made my stomach churn, but that’s because I’m no fish lover, lol.
Everything certainly looked fresh! Lol.

We then headed to the convention, sadly, there was no tickets being sold on the day, but from the photos you can see why! We did try the whole ” we are British travellers , real big fans …ect” didn’t work , think we dodged a bullet as when you get further round there was even more people queueing to get in, lol. Walk through fort mason was nice though!

Next stop was to head back to pier 39, by this time it was roasting, so a stop off for a good old Ben and jerrys!!

The pier its self felt a bit Disney , lots of souvenir shops, but lots of other bits going on too, right at the end of the pier was sea lions, they congregate here to avoid predators …ie…sharks, lol. Quite entertaining to watch.

Also found buba gumps shrimp restaurant! Marked it for us to do after going to Alcatraz, which leads me to say, we headed to the departure gate for Alcatraz to see how much it costs to go direct , as prices varied, $30 each and includes everything you need, we booked this for Tuesday! (Next day)
Even though we had been going for a while we stupidly both agreed to go visit Japan town , which was across town, the walk felt like forever , especially as we also stupidly agreed to take this not so short cut!….
