So after a lovely 4 weeks with simon and Sue , we have now set off on our own! And our first few days are in San Fran!
We got to the airport nice and early which worked well for us! They had over booked and asked if we would travel on a hour later flight and receive $200 dollars to use with the air line, they would pay for our baggage and free breakfast! (Considering our flights cost way less than that) no brainer!
happy days!!!

So in all honesty it was nice to feel heat and the sun shining when we got off the plane, made a difference from Seattle in the morning , cold and foggy!
It was easy getting to our hotel, used the train! Way cheaper than the shuttle, got off near union square ( the posh shops area) And a 5 min walk is our hotel, which is located in the middle of everything. The old cable cars,
Fishermans wharf , pier 39 , Chinatown, Japantown and Alcatraz!
After dropping our bags off we headed off for our first venture! China town! We decided to walk, stretch the legs, but oh my god the films don’t lie!! Steep steep hills!!! Hard work when you’ve been inactive for a month! But we made it!! Some of the buildings had so much detail, so out of place against others along there.

Oh yer and walking up the hill this fire engine came up behind us
We then headed back a different way to find food!! Which we found just a block from our hotel an old style diner, food was lush! And I ate all my broccoli (mum will be pleased 😉 )

Certainly shattered so getting some well earned sleep!

Oh and forgot to say! Whilst making our trek up the hills, a fire engine when past, never heard anything like it!? Lol, certainly can’t ignore it! Lol
