Well we will never go with a shuttle bus again from an airport, well not from Patong, what a con! 12 of us got in, I had to sit in the front though, but scary to watch everyone on their bikes, crazy driving, but also scary driver in our mini bus! Really not safe, that wasn’t the problem, it was when we were all told to get out at what appeared to be a depo, not far from Patong, about 20mins max away, they asked us for the hotel details so they could draw up a list, not a problem, he clearly spoke little English, they also tried to sell their tours, everyone was tired and wasn’t interested so no one brought, well that’s when they clearly decided that we weren’t going the easy way, we went miles the opposite way, thinking nothing of it other than some one had a hotel out there, nope, 2 hours later we only just start approaching Patong, this point everyone was adjetated and a little peed off, especially their was a family with two young children, he dropped of the first couple then it was next on to us, which being in the center of Patong should only be matter of minutes from this last stop….wrong he pulled up about a couple miles out of town and said here it is…wrong again our place was called bann paradise, this pace was paradise inn, jokes aside we tried to help but he wasn’t interested and wasn’t listing to the directions, after yet another failed attempt and a stupid weedy little jerk of an America saying just to head to the next ones then come back, my patience was being blown, finally again after yet another wrong hotel he listed and we were finally at our hotel!!
We were only a 5 minute walk away from the walking street which was perfect…
It’s just like you hear and read about, bright lights, ladyboys, tourist focused stalls and a lot of old pervy men, haha!
We went to a restaurant that’s meant to be one of the best, with out realising, we were hungry and it looked all fresh, the savoy was lovely, Kieran had prawns in a Thai red curry paste, said its the freshest he’s had.They had all their shrimp, lobsters and crabs in tanks at the front…yummy, lol…
