the plan was to catch the first one at 8:30 but we slept in, then we were meant to head up to Cape tribulation but we got talking to our neighbours who were lovely but meant we were even later…1’oclock later… So we decided to stay…
Got talking to one of the runners at the camp, who’s from Sheffield, and suggested that we try fishing along the bridge just a little drive up…didn’t catch anything …again but great spot…
Headed over the road to the pie shop, to obviously grab some pies and then the general store to grab some beer set up camp and chill till our 4:30 tour…
The tour is to hunt for crocs along the daintree river, and the occasional bird spotting too!…it also includes a second pass for another cruise further up on the river, near the ferry to daintree, so hope to do that on our way…
Didn’t think we were having much luck till we found this shy baby…apprently he will most likely survive as he keeps him self to him self and runs away, most baby’s die due to other animals, like bull sharks eating them!
Right in the center on the sand behind the tree you can make him out…kind of …
Headed back up where we found rusty!!… The opposite side of the bank to our caravan park!! Typical, just needs to stay there…
He got us pretty close too…
After the tour our neighbours showed us a sparrows nest just hanging from the tree…
We decided even though it wasn’t meant to be a good spot we’d try our luck with fishing!!..yer nothing, but great views for a sunset,… And yes we did remember that there was a crocodile just on the log on the other side…
