Finally found Pelicans on the ground, which was actually quite funny as all three followed us with their heads in sync.
Even caught one on flight…
local tradition in Hervey Bay is a ritual to bless the water and celebrate the venture the whales have to take, basically anything that floats seems to be used to meet out on the water , silence while a whale song is played then a big cheer to wish them on their way, simple as that! Quite a nice atmosphere as lots of people participated and spectated.
