So it rained all night… And we woke up to rain…
Decided not to do the volcano today but do the beaches along the other side, near and at Kailua Kona,
Drove to Kiholo bay first , driving to it was incredibly dark, as the road sides are just larva remains.
Had to drive down a tiny bumpy track.
It was far to rough to swim, plus Carla learnt that this bay was popular to tiger sharks….Kieran wasn’t having any of that! Haha!
Dead crab but perfectly intact.
We drove on to khilo kona and grabbed a bit to eat, some huge burgers!! But pretty awesome.
Then headed to kahalu’u beach park, we timed our arrival perfect again and was lucky as it was busy when we turned up but as we got in the water it wasn’t as much, plus it stopped raining, so we swam with the fishes, a lot colder with no sun, though!
The fishes were a lot bigger than we had previously seen, we assumed it was down to it being a hot spot feeding ground? as they were all eating!
This one above is my favourite, so clear! Yet you can see the wave hitting the rocks!
This is myself and Kieran.
Thies and Carla.
Kieran in the sea! Snorkelling!! And happy!! Shocked but very proud!…haha!…
This fish was amazing, the colours were so vivid!
The camera is superb but trying to catch all the different tones was impossible!…
Next …
We found some turtles that had rested up on some of the rocks, and of course this was the perfect time to test the camera….
Il let the pictures so the talking again…
Then it seemed a perfect time to get some pictures together!…
Me …
Kieran…
Carla…
Theis…
The day was super, and couldn’t of been a better way to mark two years together…
